“The new CAPS program enables LSI to forge deeper relationships with our alliance partners to target specific end customer environments with trusted solutions that have been rigorously tested for compatibility with LSI storage offerings,” said Brent Blanchard, director of Worldwide Channel Sales and Marketing, LSI. “These collaborative efforts will better position LSI and member companies to deliver differentiated solutions that meet customers’ unique requirements and extend business value.”
The CAPS program includes product evaluations and testing to help ensure interoperability between ecosystem products and LSI technologies in order to create solutions that are easily integrated into customer environments. The evaluation program includes product exchanges for joint lab testing, new product beta testing for verifying compatibility prior to release and access to product samples for joint customer design win opportunities.
“LSI was Nexenta’s first technology partner, and today we’re able to offer the system builder channel NexentaStor with embedded support for LSI storage products,” said Brad Stone, vice president of Product Management for Nexenta Systems. “With greater access to LSI customers and alliance partners, as well as ongoing product certifications through the CAPS program, our efforts with LSI to push direct attached storage further into the cloud will be greatly enhanced.”
“System builders need LSI’s storage controllers and advanced software offerings to be compatible with Seagate’s hard disk, solid state hybrid, solid state and self-encrypting drives to create unique configurations for requirements ranging from application acceleration to security,” said John Teeple, director of Americas Channel Marketing at Seagate. “As we continue to work with LSI to create advanced storage solutions that facilitate new business opportunities for our joint customers, the product evaluation program, extended marketing support and vertical focus offered by the CAPS program will be critical.”
“Supermicro and LSI’s collaborative efforts empower system builders and resellers with high-performance, highly scalable server storage solutions optimized to meet the most challenging application requirements,” said Wally Liaw, vice president of Sales, International at Supermicro. “LSI’s new CAPS program accelerates our ability to deliver cutting-edge SuperServer® and Double-Sided Storage® solutions first-to-market, providing our customers and channel partners with the most compelling and competitive server storage solutions on the market.”
The solutions created through the CAPS program are backed by a dedicated team of LSI marketing and support contacts capable of assisting alliance partners with sales, technical support and co-marketing efforts targeted at joint customers. CAPS members benefit from joint development efforts and participation in webinars, trainings and events, as well as the creation of solution collateral materials, including case studies and technical papers. The collateral materials are hosted on an alliance partner Web portal, which also will include a product compatibility matrix.
The LSI CAPS program is focused on vertical market applications, providing alliance partners with the opportunity to expand end customer engagements in vertical market segments such as digital content, security and medical imaging. LSI will work with alliance partners to identify strategic vertical market opportunities, and then tailor solutions and marketing initiatives based on these customers’ specific industry requirements.
