CacheCade Pro 2.0 software offers a new option to solving your storage system challenges, allowing solid state drives (SSDs) to act as a dedicated pool of high-performance cache between the hard disk drive (HDD) and select 6Gb/s MegaRAID controller cards. By using SSDs as a dedicated pool of cache to deliver hot data, this software solution lowers your total cost of ownership (TCO) by helping to avoid the cost of IT cycles for application tuning or sourcing more CPU, memory or enterprise HDDs.
This software intelligently places highly-accessed data or “hot data” in high-performance SSDs, minimising HDD-only writes/reads, leading to reduced HDD latencies. Therefore, overall storage system reliability is significantly improved, with application performance being boosted by as much as 1251% compared to standard storage systems without CacheCade Pro 2.0 software.
