SandForce SF-1500
  • First-generation Flash Storage Processor (FSP) enables standard flash memory to operate in enterprise storage environments and mega datacenters
  • LSI DuraClass technology provides best-in-class endurance, performance, and low power
  • Maintains highest level of read and write performance (30 K IOPS & 260 MB/s) through the life of the SSD

The LSI® SandForce® SF-1500 Flash Storage Processors (FSPs) are revolutionary SoCs designed specifically to enable
standard flash memory to reliably operate in enterprise storage applications and mega datacenters
. The SF-1500 maximizes
read and write performance through the life of an SSD without requiring additional DRAM cache or costly patches. It also
addresses the
limitations of SLC and MLC flash memory to greatly extend the endurance and overall reliability of SSDs.

Features

  • 3 Gb/s SATA v2.6 with NCQ (SAS/PCIe® with a third-party bridge)
  • Up to 512* capacity
  • Maintains highest level of read and write performance (30 K IOPS & 260 MB/s) through the life of the SSD
  • LSI DuraClass™ technology provides best-in-class endurance, performance, and low power
  • LSI DuraWrite™ architecture enables enterprise SSD deployment using MLC/eMLC flash without sacrificing performance
  • RAISE™ improves SSD PPM failure rates up to 100x
  • Highly intelligent block management and wear leveling optimizes SSD longevity
  • Superior ECC data protection is up to 100x better than SSDs and leading HDDs
  • Automatic encryption (AES-128) at the drive level ensures secure data protection
  • Lowest BOM cost for any enterprise SSD

Benefits

  • Greatly extends the endurance and overall reliability of SSDs with maximized read and write performance
  • Maximizes both the endurance and write performance for the life of the drive fulfilling the promise of high-speed flash memory in enterprise applications
  • Bullet-proof data security
  • 100x greater data protection than leading enterprise HDDs
  • Data protection and reliability of RAID on a single drive without the significant write overhead of parity
