LSI's proven silicon design methodology is used to deliver our broad portfolio of networking and storage products to market – and you can use this same methodology to bring your custom silicon solutions to market in the shortest possible time.
Our FlexStream design system is a fully integrated environment of best-in-class LSI and third-party EDA tools. FlexStream includes the key tools required for complex custom silicon designs, including synthesis, RTL checking, test insertion, floorplanning, layout, signal integrity, manufacturability, and yield.
Our approach to design starts with technology platform stability and capacity. We constantly tune and refine our libraries, tools, and core flows. We closely collaborate with our customers, EDA partners, foundry partners, and assembly and test houses to ensure every facet of design is efficient, predictable, and reliable. The result is a highly stable design platform with appropriate capacity of 100+ million gate designs.
Efficient testing of complex SoCs requires a concurrent approach. LSI has design teams located around the world. Our hierarchical design flow factors in early design knowledge, and anticipates potential back-end issues with timing closure and hierarchy signoff.
Our standard technology platforms and IP solutions perform for about 95 percent of all design challenges – and we are committed to design flow adaptations to close on that last 5 percent. These flow adaptations are essential for new technologies like 28nm, and include techniques like chip-level bus routing, crossbar optimization, leakage power management, clock planning strategies, hierarchical design flow modeling, and more. We are committed to constant innovation and close collaboration with our partners and customers to ensure complex challenges can be met without sacrificing time-to-market.
