LSI has over 30 years experience designing and delivering custom silicon for networking and storage applications. During this time we have compiled an extensive library of intellectual property (IP) cores. These cores are production-proven in our networking and storage standard products, such as the TrueStore read-channel SoCs and Axxia Communication Processor.
 
Our IP portfolio includes foundational technologies including SERDES, processors, memories, security, and physical layer cores. In addition, we provide access to unique capabilities already deployed in LSI standard products, including traffic management, deep packet inspection, signal processing, and protocol processing functionality. SERDES
LSI offers support for current and next-generation serial standards for networking, storage, and interconnect marketplaces.  Our extensive offerings include support for key interfaces such as XFI, Fibre Channel, SAS, PCI Express, and many others.
When it comes to serial interconnect technologies, we’ve led the industry in SERDES and package co-design, providing  best-in-class signal integrity and decreased design risk.
 
Embedded Processors
With a rich offering of pre-verified microprocessor components and subsystems, LSI enables protocol and intensive data  processing applications throughout the network and data center. We support the industry’s most popular lines of
integratable processors such as ARM, PowerPC, and StarCore DSP. Implementations range from very dense, power-wise utility processors to high performance microprocessors running in the 1+ GHz range.
 
Embedded DRAM
LSI has delivered numerous SoCs with embedded DRAM. eDRAM offers improved density over SRAM, with higher performance, wider bandwidth, and lower power consumption. eDRAM technology is compatible with our standard and fully-qualified technology platforms (90nm, 65nm, 40nm, 28nm) and seamlessly integrates with the rest of our IP portfolio.
 
LinkXpress Crosspoint Switch
The LinkXpress Crosspoint Switch is an LSI innovation enabling high-performance on-chip switch fabrics. This core employs a low-voltage differential signaling scheme that quickly shuttles data across a die, resulting in higher performance at lower power.
 
Tarari Deep Packet Inspection
The Tarari T2000 IP core delivers rich regular expression (RegEx) language support, enabling over 100,000+ complex rules to be processed simultaneously at deterministic speeds up to 20Gbps. Its deep packet inspection (DPI) capability can accelerate applications such as anti-virus, anti-spam, intrusion prevention/detection systems, and XML processing.
